The State Commission on National and Community Service is requesting applications for eligible organizations to operate AmeriCorps Programs that will engage individuals in service as AmeriCorps members to address pressing community needs in New York State. Applicants to the New York State AmeriCorps RFP below are only eligible to organizations that will operate solely in New York State. Multi-State organizations interested in applying for an AmeriCorps Program Grant that will place members in service in more than one state should visit the following link for AmeriCorps National application information: www.americorps.gov/for_organizations/funding/nofa_detail.asp?tbl_nofa_id=91.

The Corporation for National Service has launched a Performance Measurement Core Curriculum on the National Service Knowledge Network which can be accessed by clicking on the following link: http://www.nationalserviceresources.org/npm/training-resources. These self-paced tutorials have been designed to help applicants and current grantees understand key concepts in performance measurement. The State Commission strongly encourages all New and Re-competing applicants who are applying for AmeriCorps funding, and current grantees submitting a Continuation proposal to review these on-line tutorials. The information provided will help your organization correctly develop more impactful performance measures and strengthen the overall quality of your AmeriCorps funding proposal.
